RAJKOT: A two-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 45-year-old man, a father of five children, in Porbandar on Sunday.
The girl was playing in her house with her grandmother. Her parents had gone out for fishing. A resident of Indiranagar in Subhashnagar and victim's neighbour Lalji Bariya lured the girl with chocolates and took her to his house and committed the crime, said police, adding that he is on the run.
The incident came to light when the girl returned home bleeding and complained to her grandmother of pain. The victim was soon rushed to K T Children's Hospital in Rajkot.
"We have booked the accused under Indian Penal Code Section 376. We will soon nab him,'' said a police official of Kirti Mandir police station in Porbandar. Victim's parents are natives of Jafrabad. They had come to Porbandar in search of work.Link: Man rapes two-year-old girl
