GHAZIABAD: A man was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment while his mother, sister and brother were awarded seven years jail by a local court for burning alive his wife for dowry. Additional session judge A K Gupta held the victim's husband, Neeraj, mother-in-law, sister-in-law and brother-in-law guilty of killing her in 2007 for dowry.
The court also slapped a fine of Rs 5,000 each on the convicts.
