SURAT: A 50-year-old accused was arrested for allegedly raping his two young daughters repetitively during last three years in Silvassa. The crime came to light after the elder daughter was found pregnant.
Police arrested Tasnim Ansari, 50, for allegedly raping his 18 and 15 years old daughters. He was produced in a local court of Silvassa in union territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and the court remanded him in police custody for five days.
Elder daughter was suffering from pain in stomach and she was taken to hospital for medical examination by her mother. During medical check-up it was found that the girl was pregnant. The victim informed the doctor about the repetitive rape by her father. The victim also informed about rape with her younger sister.
A police complaint was lodged against the father and he was arrested from his residence nearMadhuban Dam Colony in Silvassa. The victims informed the police that they did not complain earlier as their father threatened to kill them. In medical examination it was proved that both the victims were raped repetitively. Police are now questioning the father to investigate the case further. Police believe that the mother was also aware about the crime but she did not help her daughters.
