ROURKELA: The teacher of a private school here was arrested today for allegedly molesting a minor girl in Lahunipara area of Odisha's Sundargarh district, police said.
"Sudarshan Munda, who teaches at Gulkhundi Private School, was arrested for molesting a student of class-III on January 2," Inspector in-charge of Lahunipara PS R K Sahu said.
On the evening of January 2, Munda took the 8-year-old girl on his motorcycle to drop her at the school where she studies, the police said.
The teacher took her to a bush and molested her until two bike-riders arrived there and rescued the girl, the police said.
Munda escaped from the scene and absconded, they said.
