NEW DELHI: A 15-year-old girl was raped allegedly by a government school teacher after promising to marry her, police said today.
The incident was reported from Nangloi and the accused teacher was arrested last week after the family approached police with a complaint.
The teacher was close to the family. The victim, a resident of Narela, befriended the accused at a marriage ceremony a year ago.
He allegedly used to call her to his house and allegedly had physical relations after promising to marry her.
The girl told her parents about the incident after she came to know that he was getting married.
