GURGAON: A city woman was allegedly gang raped by two men on pretext of getting her a call centre job. Though the incident took place in December, the victim's woes didn't end there. She was later forced to marry the younger brother of one of the rapists, who also raped her and kept in confinement. The husband of the victim and one of the rapists were arrested, while the other is on the run.
The 22-year-old victim, a resident of Laxman Vihar, in her complaint to the police said that she used to live with her mother and two brothers, who are security guards. The family had a single mobile phone used by all. In November last year, she received a call from a person who identified himself as Pradeep. He claimed that he was her brother's friend and offered her a job in a call centre.

Pradeep also told the victim not to tell anyone about the offer or even about the call.

"He then called the victim several times. On December 14, he told the victim that she has to undergo a three-day training programme for a job that has been finalized. He asked her to meet him near Daultabad flyover. There the victim found Pradeep with another man, identified as Neeraj. Both were in an Innova. They took the girl to a room in Nangloi and raped her for three days. They had a country-made pistol with which they threatened the girl," the police said.

As she went missing for three days, her family lodged a missing persons complaint with the police. When the duo got the news about the police complaint, they made of fake school certificate of the girl and forced her to marry Pradeep's younger brother Kedar at the Arya Smaja Mandir.

The victim has alleged that she was threatened to confess in Gurgaon court that I agreed to the marriage on her free will. The accused then took her to their house where Kedar raped her. She was kept in confinement inside the house with Pradeep's mother and maternal uncle keeping a watch.

The victim said she finally managed to escape, informed her mother about her ordeal and filed a police complaint. The police have arrested Kedar and Neeraj and are looking for the others.
An FIR has been registered against Pradeep, Kedar, Neeraj, Pradeep's uncle Dilbagh and mother Munni Devi, said Surrinder Pal Singh, DCP (West).
