Aug 09, 2012: Principal booked for forcing schoolgirl to strip

PUNE: The principal of a girls' school in the Pune cantonment was booked on Monday for allegedly thrashing a ninth standard student and forcing her to strip in her office. The incident took place on July 9.

The 14-year-old girl's parents had lodged a complaint with the Bund Garden police immediately after the incident.

Senior inspector of the Bund Garden police station U N Sonawane said, "The principal beat the girl in her office for misbehaving in school. The girl told us the principal forced her to strip later."
