BANGALORE: The body of Chitra Shekhar, 32, was found in a bush near a dry lake in Seetarampalya, Mahadevapura on Wednesday morning. She was a resident of Kundalahalli. Passersby alerted police when they saw the body.
Preliminary investigations revealed she was strangled to death.
"Chitra was the second wife of Shekhar, a JCB driver. They were married for 10 years and had two daughters. They were from Dankanikote in Tamil Nadu but had settled down in Bangalore long ago. She was on the housekeeping staff at a software company in ITPB," police said.
Police found a towel near the body and there were injury marks on her neck. The assailants may have strangled her with the towel, police said.Link: Woman's body found near lake
