MUMBAI: The Powai police recently arrested a 42-year-old married man for allegedly having physical relationship with a minor girl on the false promise of marriage.
"Abdul Sattar, a tailor, allegedly took the 17-year-old victim to different hotels in Solapur before dropping her off at her parents' home in Powai after 20 days, on November 27," said senior inspector Bajirao Bhosle.
Sattar was booked for rape, wrongful confinement and kidnap.
The victim was interning at Sattar's tailoring shop. The girl's parents lodged a complaint against Sattar when she didn't return home on November 5.
