AMRAVATI: City Kotwali police have booked a man for forcing a minor girl to drink liquor and then raping her.
The accused, Gajanan Sawarkar and his accomplices, stopped the 14-year-old girl, a student of standard IX near Namuna locality, when she was heading towards her house. They asked the girl to accompany them. When refused, they made her drink liquor.
Later, Gajanan took her to ST stand and parked his bike. He then took the girl to Prashant Nagargarden in a rickshaw. He against gave liquor and raped her.
Though the incident took place two days back, the victim did not report the matter to police as she was threatened by the accused. However, she lodged a complaint on Saturday. Kotwali police have registered an offence against Gajanan who is absconding.Link: Minor girl forced to drink liquor, raped
