DOMBIVLI: A 47-year-old person working as a technical instructor at an engineering college, who allegedly raped his under-age maid for last five months, was arrested with his wife's help on Monday after she learned from the victim and approached the local police to lodge case against her husband.
According to Manpada police, accused threatened and raped the minor several times in last five month. It was done when her wife was out of town for some work.
The arrested person is identified as Rajiv Khadapkar (48) is works as technical instructor at Navi Mumbai based famous engineering college.
According to Manpada police, the victim a 16 year minor girl is resident of Ratnagiri and she was working as care taker for accused child at his home in Chandresh Building in Lodha Heaven in Dombivli East.
The incident came to light when victim frustrated with employers act approached to her employer's wife about the incident.
After learning about husband's act, Rajiv's wife immediately took victim to the police station where she lodged complaint with Manpada police station.
According to Prakash Nilewad, Senior police inspector, "In complaint victim revealed that in last five month accused raped her several time at three places including his in Dombivli, Navi Mumbai and Pune".
The girl told police that she was in fear as his boss would threaten her with dire consequences if she told anyone. The police have booked Khadapkar under rape charges and threatening to the girl.
Victim's parents are very poor and they also do not have any earning members in the family this is the reason to when a relative offered her job at accused house in Dombivli and then join work as care taker.
On Tuesday he was produced in to the Kalyan court where he has been remanded to police custody for seven day.
