GURGAON: Three youths have been charged with molesting a woman at a ring ceremony held in a hotel in Sector-14. The accused allegedly even beat her and her husband when they opposed the group.
According to the police, the youths, who were drunk, fled from the spot soon after the incident.
The incident took place at the ceremony venue around 1pm on Saturday.
According to the police, Tina (name changed), a resident of Sector-13, Karnal, had come to Gurgaon with her husband to take part in a ring ceremony, which was organized in a hotel in Sector 14.
"The three accused, Nitin Jain, Sachin and Jatin, were also a part of the ceremony, and had joined the group from Karnal. The accused started molesting Tina following which her husband tried to confront them. They then beat up the husband and fled from the spot," said a police officer.
The victim reached the Civil Lines police station late in the night and lodged a complaint. On the basis of the complaint, police have registered a case against the three accused and started investigation.
