New Delhi: In yet another incident of a minor girl being beaten up by her employers, an eight year-old girl was rescued today from a family in Munirka in South Delhi.
The girl from Bihar hired a month ago to look after a couple's three-year-old baby was allegedly beaten several times by her employers. Rajesh Chaturvedi a sales and marketing executive with Ranbaxy, has been detained.
The latest instance of her abuse came to light after she tried to call her mother in Bihar to inform her of the regular beating. The couple hit her yesterday and today when they got to know of it.
However a local NGO who were informed by a neighbor rescued her today along with the police.
A medical examination on the girl showed visible marks on her hand. The girl has now been sent to a juvenile shelter home.
