Bareilly: In a shocker from Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh, an 18-year-old girl was allegedly burnt alive by four boys who had earlier molested her.
The incident occurred after the parents of the victim had filed a molestation case and the police released one of the accused after arresting him.
The accused are now back in jail. The victim had identified her attackers before she died in hospital on Saturday.
Before she succumbed to her injuries, the victim had said, "Three of them came when my brother wasn't home. They closed the door, poured oil, set me on fire and ran away. I opened the door and my sister-in-law was there. She got burnt too. Then the neighbours came in and saved me."
The brother of the victim said, "They were threatening her and when they saw her alone at home, they set her on fire."
Meanwhile, the police claim that the legal action on the issue has been initiated.
Bareilly SSP said, "One was arrested on molestation charges and later released on bail. Now all are in jail. The girl suffered 80 per cent burns."Link: Girl allegedly burnt alive by molesters in Uttar Pradesh
