NEW DELHI: Three days after a semi-nude body of a woman was found near a Metro pillar in Nehru Place, police are still grappling for clues.
Police, however, confirmed on Thursday that the woman had been sexually assaulted and then murdered.
During investigation, police had identified the body as the name of the woman's husband was tattooed on her right hand. Her husband told cops that his wife had gone missing and he had lodged a missing person report at a Rohini police station, the day before her body was found.
Cops are now questioning the woman's relatives and friends to ascertain who she was last seen with. The pair of jeans recovered from the spot has also been sent for examination, police said.
