YAVATMAL: The Wadgaon Road Police in the district, who have filed a criminal case for rape against a sitting judge of the District Labour Court, today sent a report to the High Court and the State Government.
Police officer in-charge Sarjerao Gaikwad said a preliminary report was sent to the Bombay High Court and the government. Judge Atik Mohammad Khan allegedly had an intimate relationship with his maidservant, a Dalit woman, who alleges in her complaint that he sexually exploited her by promising to marry her, but broke the promise later.
The woman says that she was living with the judge for the last ten years. Police have also filed FIR under Prevention of Atrocities Act against Khan. He has not been arrested yet.
