GHAZIABAD: A man and a woman were found dead under mysterious circumstances in Loni, Ghaziabad, late on Monday. Police said it looked like the man had first killed his lady love, as her marriage had been fixed with someone else, and then took his own life. There were visible injuries on the woman's forehead, while the man's body was found hanging from a ceiling fan.
The incident came to light when AIIMS employee Ompal reached his Keshav Nagar home at 8 pm and nobody answered the door. "Ompal then went to his elder son, Satender, who sneaked into the house through a window and found his younger brother, Parmender, hanging, and his wife' sister Dolly, lying dead on the bed," said Brijmohan Yadav, SHO, Loni police station.

The police said prima facie it appears that the jilted lover killed the girl and then committed suicide. There are injury marks on the girl's forehead. The police are waiting for post mortem examination reports to establish the case.
The police said that the deceased has been identified as Parmender, son of Ompal, who works in AIIMS while the girl has been identified as Dolly, a native of Khoda and sister in law of the deceased's brother elder Satender.
"We have recovered a bottle of cold drink and two glasses. Recently Dolly's marriage was arranged and on Monday she had come to Keshav Nagar. Prima facie it appears that after killing Dolly, Satender had committed suicide," Yadav added that there are injury marks on Dolly's forehead.
"It appears that Dolly's forehead was hit with blunt object. We have also sent the cold drinks to check either poison was laced or not," Yadav said that the police will also question families of both the deceased only after the real cause behind the incident will be emerged.Link: Jilted lover kills woman, self
