NEW DELHI: A 30-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly murdering his wife as he had suspected her of having an extra-marital affair. The accused has been identified as Mohd Rashid who allegedly smothered his wife Shazia to death in a hotel in Paharganj on October 2. The CCTV footage of the hotel helped them nab the accused, said cops.
"Rashid and Shazia had quarreled many times over the suspected relationship. Two months ago, Shazia started living with her parents. Rashid was furious and hatched a plan to kill her to take revenge," said additional commissioner of police (central) D C Srivastva.
