New Delhi: A Delhi Police constable was arrested in central Delhi on charges of molesting a minor girl in the capital, an official Sunday.
Constable Vikash Tomar, 26, posted at Mandir Marg police station, was arrested Saturday within hours of molesting the girl close to a slum area near Ridge Road.
After committing the crime, he fled from the spot.
"The girl went to her home and narrated the incident to her parents who approached the police," said a police official.
Tomar, who joined in 2010, was arrested and a case of molestation was registered in Mandir Marg police station.
"He has also been placed under suspension and an inquiry has been initiated against him," said the official.
