RAJKOT: A 13-year-old girl from Ramnathpara was lured away from a wedding and raped for two days in confinement. Accused Alpesh Bavaji is an imitation jewellery worker in the city.
Police said that on February 12, the girl had gone missing from a marriage function in Kanaknagar area. She surfaced two days later and confided in her parents.
"Aplesh (23) had taken the girl to his relative's home near Kaisar-e-Hind bridge, where he raped her. He lured her away from the wedding by giving her a joyride on his bike,'' the complaint said. The B division police have filed the complaint under sections 376, 366 and 363 of the Indian Penal Code.
