NEW DELHI: A disabled man was caught on Thursday in east Delhi after he had raped a minor, police said on Saturday.
According to police, the accused had abducted the girl Wednesday and was trying to abandon the girl in Gokulpuri area of east Delhi when he was arrested.
"The accused is mute. He had abducted and raped the victim earlier and was going to abandon her when the girl's relatives saw them and caught him," a police official told IANS.
"The girl has been hospitalised in Guru Teg Bahadur hospital and the man has been arrested," he added.
Police said the accused was 30 years old and worked in a tent house as an electrician.
