NAGPUR: A 42-year-old man set his wife on fire after she refused to part with money for purchasing liquor at their Sevadal Nagar residence on Holi. Sakkardara Police have arrested Ashok Ingle after his wife Sangeeta complained against her husband in the dying declaration.
Ashok, was a habitual liquor addict. On the day of the incident, Ashok was harassing her for money but she refused. In a fit of anger, Ashok doused her with kerosene before flickering match sticks on her.
A seriously injured Sangeeta was taken to GMCH where she blamed Ashok in her statement.
Sakkardara police have registered an offence of attempt to murder against Ashok.Link: Man sets wife ablaze, arrested
