Udhagamandalam, Tamil Nadu: An 18-year old boy has been arrested for allegedly raping a four-year old girl near her house in Kottakombe, about 30 km from Udhagamandalam in Tamil Nadu.
Police said the girl's parents and neighbors rescued her from a bush near her house after hearing her screams. The boy fled on seeing them and was arrested early Sunday morning, they said.
They said a medical examination of the girl at the Government Hospital in Udhagamandalam confirmed rape. The boy has been remanded to judicial custody, they said.
