NEW DELHI: A man wanted in a case of honour killing in Azamgarh, UP, has been arrested from central Delhi, said police. The accused had allegedly murdered a youth who wanted to marry his sister and fled to Delhi after the murder.
The accused, Aslam, was nabbed on a tip-off from Anand Parbat on Saturday, said Devesh Srivastava, additional commissioner of police (central).
"Aslam and his friends murdered Rohit Singh on June 5 and Aslam fled to Delhi to evade arrest. He was opposed to his sister's relationship with Rohit," said a senior police officer.
