HYDERABAD: A school principal who allegedly tried to sexually abuse a teacher was arrested by Kukatpally police late on Thursday night.
Assistant commissioner of police (Kukatpally division) M Malla Reddy said 55-year-old Narender, principal of Rajadani High School, Allwyn Colony, was taken into custody.
He was charged with harassing the teacher sexually on Thursday.
The victim managed to escape from his 'custody' and informed her family members, who in turn lodged the complaint.
Narender was arrested and sent to judicial remand. He was held by the police under sections 354 (Assault or criminal force on woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 506 (Criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
