HUBLI: A woman died of head injuries when her husband pushed her to the wall following a quarrel between them. The deceased is Holevva Kiresur, 35. The incident took place on Monday night at the couple's residence at SM Krishna Nagar in Hubli.
Kasabapeth police inspector G K Lokesh told TOI that Holevva was married to Nagappa Kiresur for the past 20 years and the couple has three children.
The couple often used to fight over financial matters. They fought again furiously on the fateful night and in a fit of rage Nagappa pushed his wife to the wall. Holevva suffered severe head injuries and died on the spot.
Her mother Kariyamma Narasalgi has registered a case with Kasabapeth police against her son-in-law.
Police arrested Nagappa on Tuesday.
