NEW DELHI: A man has been arrested from south Delhi for allegedly molesting a woman and filming an obscene video clip. The accused, V Krishnan, a businessman from south Delhi, is alleged to have called the woman to his residence where he molested her, police said. A case has been registered at a south Delhi police station, they said.
The woman, in her FIR, has alleged that the accused knew her for quite sometime and had called her to his residence on October 24. The woman went to meet him since she was acquainted with him, she alleged. Sources said the woman told the cops that having refused to let her return, Krishnan forcibly undressed her following which he clicked her pictures and made an obscene video using a cell phone.
"We recorded her statement when the woman approached us on October 25. She has accused Krishnan of having molested her. On the basis of her statement, the man has been charged with assault and use of criminal force to outrage modesty and wrongful confinement. As it was a sensitive matter, we launched a manhunt for the accused and nabbed him on Monday. We are investigating the matter," a police officer said.
Sources said the accused refused to give her back the clothes even after she asked for it several times. When she did not return that night, her husband got worried and started to search for her in the neighborhood. But before the victim's husband could lodge a complaint with the police, the victim managed to come out of Krishnan's house and returned home early morning. She narrated the incident to her husband and the couple decided to seek police help and approached them on October 25.
