KANPUR: A 17-year-old girl was molested and attacked by a youth in Makanpur village, under the limits of Kotwali police in Bilhaur on Friday, officials said.
Raeesa (name changed) was on her way to her fields when she was stopped by a youth of the same village identified as Parvez, who forcibly dragged the girl into the fields and molested and brutally assaulted her.
On hearing her cries, her relatives rushed to her rescue. Sensing trouble the accused fled the spot.When the girl's mother approached Parvez's parents, the latter attacked her. An FIR has been lodged against Salma, Jumman and Seema. A manhunt has been launched to arrest Parvez...
