BANGALORE: A home-alone woman from HAL II Stage was allegedly raped, robbed and almost killed when she resisted three robbers early on Friday. She had to part with her gold ring and Rs 4,000.

This is what she has said in a complaint to Jeevan Bima Nagar police, who have registered a complaint of robbery, rape and attempt to murder. The incident happened in her house on 18 D Main of the locality.
Though police are tightlipped, the complaint said the culprits had knocked at the house door around 2.30am, when she was asleep. She thought it was someone she knew and opened the door only to find three men standing menacingly in front of her.

They barged into the house and threatened her with knives and asked her to part with the money she had in the house. When she resisted, they stabbed her and raped her.

In a bid to escape from them, she gave them Rs 4,000 and a gold ring, the complaint said.
Police claimed that they were checking the veracity of the complaint which was of serious nature. She had complained around 8.30am.

A senior police officer said she was beaten up by the culprits and was injured. "She is undergoing treatment in a hospital now. Though she sustained minor injuries, we have taken up a case of attempt to murder," the officer said.
