According to information, the girl was playing with other children near her house at around noon when a cyclist lured her. Some children spotted them going outside the village on a cycle. However, when the family started looking for her, they found her lying in a pool of blood near a dhaba in subconscious condition.
Bhiwani SSP Simardeep Singh said the girl was immediately rushed to the civil hospital. "She has gained consciousness, but still in a state of shock. She has been crying constantly. The medical examination has confirmed rape and the girl is under treatment at the civil hospital," the SSP said.
He added that the accused is unidentified and police have started investigation to identify and trace the accused. Sources said it seemed that the accused could be someone from the village or a regular visitor, whom the victim knew. Police added that the staff at the adjoining dhaba is also being interrogated.
