The fresh case of crime against minor girl popped up barely 24-four hours after the crime against a 15-year-old girl reported from Zorawarpur village under the limits of Shivrajpur police station of the district, on Tuesday, wherein the victim was brutally attacked by iron rod on resisting rape by a local goon.
According to reports, Babli (name changed), a resident of Jagjeevanpur under Akbarpur Kotwali police station limits of Kanpur Dehat, was returning home after drawing water from a hand-pump on Wednesday afternoon. The accused identified as Chotey of the same village intercepted her on the way and forcibly dragged her to nearby fields and after brutally assaulting her raped her.
The police said that the girl has been rushed to the district hospital for medical examination.
Police sources further said that the father of the victim, lodged a complaint alleging that one Chotey had raped his daughter besides inflicting serious injuries on her vital body parts. "She was repeatedly punched on her face and stomach. On hearing her screams, family members and villagers rushed to the spot and found her lying on the ground profusely bleeding," said village sources.
The police said the brother of the accused has been arrested and a case under various sections including 376 and 506 of the IPC was lodged with the Akbarpur Kotwali police station.
Meanwhile, Additional Superintendent of Police, Rajesh Dhar Dwivedi said that the brother of the accused is in police custody, and the police is questioning him to locate the whereabouts of the accused Chotey, who is on the run.
He further said cops have recorded the statements of the girl's and her parents.
