GURGAON: A 15-year-old girl was abducted from Mohammadpur village in Gurgaon district by a man from West Bengal on Friday on the pretext of marrying her. On the complaint of the victim's mother, Kherka Dhaula police lodged an FIR against the man. According to police, a family from Bara in Rajasthan has been living in rented accommodation in Mohammadpur village. The minor girl was a member of this family. The brother of the girl lodged the complaint with the Kherki Dhaula police late on Sunday night that his minor sister was abducted by their neighbour, Shankar Rai alias Saini, native of Malda in West Bengal, on Sunday morning.
The victim's brother told police that the man had allegedly abducted his sister on the pretext of marriage while his sister is only 15 years old. "We have lodged an FIR against Shankar Rai alias Saini under Sections 363 and 366 of IPC and are searching for them," the investigating officer said.
