MUMBAI: A 35-year-old labourer from Tamil Nadu was allegedly killed by his wife and her lover after the former had a heated argument with the two, when he came to know about their affair in south Mumbai, police said on Monday.
The victim Chittaraj Paundal (35) was stabbed to death by his wife's lover Swami Poundal (35) on a footpath last night in Gamdevi area, police said.
According to police, Chittaraj had been to his native place in Tamil Nadu as he was not well. When he returned to Mumbai, he learnt that his wife Sangeet has an affair with his driver friend Swami.
Chittaraj started arguing with Sangeet and Swami on Sunday night on a footpath, when the latter, in a fit of rage, attacked Chittraja with a knife. The victim succumbed to severe injuries, police said.
