Hingoli (Maharashtra): A 19-year-old married girl was abducted and sold for Rs 17,000 to a man in Rajasthan by three persons, police said on Friday.
Hasinabi Shaikh Amir, a resident of Katneshwar village in Purna tehsil of this district in Central Maharashtra, was abducted on October 20 and taken by train to Rajasthan, where she was sold for Rs 17,000, they said.
A case has been registered against the three suspects, Aktarkhan Hajratkhan Pathan, a resident of adjoining Parbhani district, Sayed Rafiqk Syed Abbas and Shaikh Noor alias Gabbar, both hailing from the victim's village, police said.
She had come to Kinhola village in Vasmat tehsil to meet her mother when she was kidnapped. Her husband lodged a missing person complaint with Purna police on October 22.
However, the man who bought Hasinabi set her free when he realised that she was three-month pregnant. She returned to Purna yesterday and lodged a police complaint, they added.
