VARANASI: A woman, Renu Gupta (27), a native of Abhiyana village under Phoolpur police station limits, committed suicide by jumping in front of a train near her village on Tuesday morning.
Renu was married to Rajiv of Abhiyana village several years back. Rajiv lives in Mumbai to earn livelihood. He had returned home a few days back only.
Reports stated that Renu was pressurising her husband to take her with him to Mumbai but he was not ready due to which they were quarrelling for the past several days.
In the same dispute, Renu committed suicide. Her parents alleged that she was murdered for dowry. The police were investigating the matter after sending the body for postmortem.
