MUMBAI: The 19-year-old son of the chairman of a school in Mira Road has been arrested for allegedly molesting a four-year-old student. The victim is a nursery student of Don Bosco School at Sai Plaza in Shanti Park.
On Thursday afternoon, the accused, Kamlesh Khicha, allegedly took the victim to a toilet on the school premises and molested her. Kamlesh is the son of the school's chairperson Jitendra Khicha.
Jitendra was not available for comment. A person claiming to be Kamlesh's uncle said Jitendra was in Surat and refused to talk about the arrest.
The victim reached home and complained to her mother about pain in her private parts. Her mother also spotted blood stains on her innerwear. The child narrated the incident to her mother following which her parents lodged a complaint with the Mira Road police on Friday. Kamlesh was picked up from his Mira Road home and booked for molestation. He was presented in Thane sessions court on Saturday and remanded in police custody till Monday.
