JAIPUR: A man on Sunday allegedly shot dead four persons, including his estranged wife, and injured another over a family dispute before committing suicide in Tonk district, a senior police official said.
Pradeep killed his wife, brother-in-law, his spouse and another woman, and critically injured father-in-law at their house in the area, Additional SP Prem Singh Chandrawat said.
Pradeep and his wife had filed for divorce in a court, and he used to believe that his brother-in-law was behind the dispute, Chandrawat said.
In a fit of rage, he opened fire at his relatives killing the four and injuring his father-in-law. Later, he also shot dead himself, the officer said.
The injured has rushed to Kota government hospital, where his condition is stated to be critical. The bodies have been sent for postmortem at a hospital in Tonk.
